Use case
Extract layers, retentions, premiums and commissions from a treaty into Excel.
For reinsurance accounting, actuarial and underwriting operations teams. Ultrassure reads the treaty and its endorsements, captures the deal economics (layers, quota shares, retentions, cessions, premiums, commissions and brokerage) as structured fields, shows each number next to the clause it came from, and exports the result to Excel or CSV, or through the REST API. You need the signed treaty and any endorsements that change the terms.

Step by step
One complete example.
- 01
Upload the treaty and its endorsements
Upload the wording, schedules and any endorsements or addenda that change the economics, or bring them in from SharePoint, a virtual data room or S3.
- 02
Let the Economics Engine capture the terms
Layers, quota shares, retentions, cessions, premiums, commissions, brokerage and other financial terms are captured as structured fields.
- 03
Check each number against its clause
Every value sits next to the clause it came from, so the reviewer can confirm it at a glance instead of searching the document.
- 04
Resolve anything flagged
Values that are unclear in the source, for example on a poor scan, are flagged for a person to confirm.
- 05
Export to your systems
Send the validated economics to Excel or CSV, to your core systems, or through the REST API, without re-keying.
Questions that could stop you
Does it handle multi-layer programs?
Yes. Economics are captured per layer and per quota share, so a program with several layers comes out as one row per layer.
What about endorsements that change premium or commission?
Upload them with the treaty. They become part of the same contract record, so the reviewer sees the endorsement next to the original term.
Does this replace our accounting or policy admin system?
No. It feeds those systems with structured, cited terms so nobody has to re-key them from the PDF.
How accurate is it?
In the treaty-renewal case study, accuracy on critical structured fields was about 99% after a human review pass, with ambiguous items flagged rather than guessed.
Is our contract wording used to train AI models?
No. Customer contracts, prompts, outputs and embeddings derived from customer data are not used to train, retrain or fine-tune generally available or third-party foundation models.
Who can see the documents?
Access is controlled with role-based permissions and every action is recorded in audit logs. Ultrassure can support SSO, including Microsoft Entra ID, and is SOC 2 Type II certified. See the Trust Center.
Do we need a paid plan to try this?
You can try Ultrassure free with no credit card, or book a demo and see this workflow run on your own documents. Plans for production use are scoped with you on the demo.
